After a year break, the question will be raised at the end of April whether we will allow Henny to get puppies again?

There is still a pandemic, even if vaccinations have been more or less diligent since January. Answering machines and mailboxes continue to overflow with inquiries of often mixed quality; we don’t feel like answering the phone anymore. Are we really supposed to pour puppy oil into the demand fire?

In addition, we actually have something else to do this year in the miniature dachshund section. Do we want to put a standard litter in the whelping room, especially since there will be school holydays at the time of delivery? On the one hand, you have plenty of time to take care of your puppies, on the other hand: people finally can go on vacation again and nobody will want to take over a dog!

And anyway: do YOU know a male of who we would say, “He and Henny, that would match”? You see…

But everything turned out differently. Once again Andrea Schosland is the one “to blame”, who raised the young “Chopin” in her kennel vom Rehsprung and wanted to use for the first time, as she mentioned in passing. Oh well. Looking at the dog and its pedigree you think at once “He and Henny, that can be something”.

It actually came about. And how! On the 60th day, the good girl had enough and calmly and concentratedly went to work. In quick succession on July 3rd, 2021 three males and five females tumbled into the world. In terms of color, no options from this combination remained unused. One black and tan, two brown, two brown dappled and three black dappled ones were cared for in an exemplary manner by Henny and turned into really splendid and promising puppies in the coming weeks. With the exception of Botzensteiners Freudenfeuer, who will initially strengthen our pack, all dogs could be placed in good hands. We look forward to seeing all again you soon!
